CME Analysis Information (for CME activity ID: 2023-12-14T17:38:00-CME-001)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Data Level: 0 (0=real-time, 1=real-time and checked by supervising forecaster, 2=retrospective science level data analysis)
Use as primary measurement: true
Measurement Technique: SWPC_CAT
Detecting Instruments:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Image Type: running difference
Speed (km/s): 1081.0
Speed measured at height (Rs): 21.3
Type: O
Direction (LON/LAT in HEEQ): 33.0/ -4.0
Half Angular Width (degree): 49.0
Minor Half-width (degree): None Entered
Tilt (degree): None Entered
Time@21.5: 2023-12-14T20:34Z
Info/Session URL: None Entered
Note:
Updated measurement with the full SOHO LASCO C2/C3 downlink now available, which allowed for some better triangulation using SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO COR2A imagery far into the FOV. The measured longitude was found to be deflected slightly eastward from the eruption site, and particularly wide. In this later analysis we found it difficult to differentiate between the shock front and leading edge in available real-time imagery.
